Hannah Hunt was born Hannah Dyer c 1834 in Gloucestershire, England.
On 8 December 1862 Hannah married William Hunt in Burmington, Warwickshire, England.
On 3 November 1875 Hannah (36 yrs), William (36 yrs) and son William (10 yrs) departed London, England on the ship ‘Lady Jocelyn’ and arrived in Lyttelton on 21 January 1875. They were from Warwickshire. William was a Wagoner.
Hannah and William had another son, Alfred.
Hannah Hunt signed the 1893 Women’s Suffrage Petition in Waimate.
William Hunt died on 8 March 1911 age 74 years and is buried in the Waimate Old cemetery, Methodist section, Plot 000076. At the time of his death he was living in Mitchell’s Road, Waimate.
Hannah Hunt died on 25 June 1911 age 77 years and is buried in the Waimate Old cemetery, Methodist section, Plot 000073.
