Harriet Reid Agnew was born in 1871 in New Zealand – the daughter of William Barrington Agnew, a carpenter - later known as William Barrington, and Mary Ennis Mouritz. (See 136 Mary E Barrington)

Harriet married John Miller McIntyre, a labourer, on 20 July 1892 in Owaka and they had five children.

When Harriet signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Owaka, she died on 19 July 1910 in Dunedin and is buried in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.

John died in Ashburton in 1941, he is buried in the Ashburton Cemetery.
