Hellen/Helen Dixon was born about 1843.
She married Alexander Fordyce, a carter, on 22 April 1870 in Melville St, Dunedin.
They had three children and when Helen signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Russell St, Dunedin.
Helen died at her home on 18 June 1915, she is buried in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
Alexander later moved to Wellington where he died in 1924, he is buried in the Karori Cemetery.
