Henrietta Anderson was born about 1844 in Ireland.

She came to New Zealand in the 1860s, and she married Thomas Anderson, a storeman, on February 4th 1874 in Dunedin.

They had four sons and when Henrietta signed the suffrage petition they were living in Timaru.

Thomas died in 1914, and their youngest son James died in the First World War.

Henrietta died at her home on June 22nd 1927. She is buried with Thomas in the Timaru Cemetery.
