Biographical information provided by Briar Barry for the He Tohu exhibition:
Honor Williams was born 31 May 1862 at St Just in Penwith, Cornwall, England, to parents John and Elizabeth Williams. After John died, Elizabeth immigrated to New Zealand with Honor and her two sisters in 1879. In 1881 at Timaru, Honor married another lad from St Penwith, Benjamin Eddy Pascoe.
Honor was a new resident of Napier when she signed the Petition as the couple had only moved there in 1893. They moved again to Waihi, where Honor died on 11 October 1939. Her husband Ben, then moved to Thames where he lived until his death on 23 June 1945.
