When Isabella signed the suffrage petition she was living with her widowed mother at Goodwood, north of Dunedin.

She married Henry Warden, a farmer, on April 25th 1894 at her home “Old Halls”. The bride “looked lovely in a dress of electric blue honeycombed woollen material trimmed with white satin... After the wedding breakfast the bride and bridegroom left for the south amid a shower of flowers”.

The family lived in Southland and had four children.

In later life they retired to Christchurch where Isabella died on August 12th 1936 and Henry died later that year in November. They are buried together in the Bromley Cemetery.
