Isabella Elizabeth Growden was born in 1849 in Victoria, Australia – the daughter of Henry Growden, a builder, and Eliza Howe. (See 67 Eliza Growden)
She sailed for Otago with her family in 1861 on the Prince Alfred and they settled in Dunedin.
Isabella married Thomas Henry Eason, a woolclasser, on 4 June 1871 in Oamaru – they had no children.
When Isabella signed the suffrage petition they were living in Kirkland Hill, Roslyn, Dunedin.
homas died in 1919 and Isabella died on 29 May 1932, they are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
