Annie Kirkland was born in 1867 in New Zealand – the daughter of Rev. James Kirkland and Mary Hamilton Dougal.
She married James Hunter Inglis, a bank agent, on 3 March 1893 at the West Taieri Church.
When Annie signed the suffrage petition they were living in Mosgiel.
They had two children when, in 1901, James qualified as a solicitor.
They lived in Balclutha, Geraldine and Timaru.
Annie died on 18 August 1933 and James died in 1954 – their burial place is unknown.
