Isabella Kirk was born about 1860, she married Samuel Henry Burnard, a farmer, in 1887 and they had four children.
When Isabella signed the suffrage petition they were living in Tapanui, South Otago.
They later moved to Christchurch where Isabella died on 9 March 1924 and Samuel died in 1927, they are buried together in the Sydenham Cemetery, Christchurch.
