Isabella Dunn was born in 1865 in New Zealand – the daughter of David Dunn, a farmer, and Flora McIntyre Mercer.
When Isabella signed the suffrage petition she was living in Romahapa in South Otago.
She married George Millar, a widower and retired postal carrier, in 1902.
George died suddenly at their home at Kaka Point in 1904.
Isabella remained at Kaka Point - she died on 4 June 1941 at Balclutha and is buried with George in the Romahapa Cemetery.
Her obituary said she was 'a well-known resident of Kaka Point' she 'took an active part in anything for the good of the district, but in late years she had lived in retirement'.
