Isabella was born around 1836 in Fermanagh, Ireland, daughter of William Corrigan and Maybella Johnston. In 1860, in Enniskillen, Ireland, she married William Foster. They had 8 children in Ireland.

Their oldest daughter Elizabeth immigrated to New Zealand with her new husband Robert Johnston in 1881. Isabella, William and their children soon followed.

Isabella died in 1919 and is buried in Auckland.

The next signature on the petition is her daughter Margaret, Mrs James Johnston.
