Isabella Bisset Stewart (known as Daisy) was born in 1868 in New Zealand – the daughter of Alexander Stewart, an officer for H M Customs, and Christina Adams Barrie.

Her father died in 1871, as the result of an accident and her mother died in 1875.

Isabella married Alexander Gray, an ironmonger, on 22 September 1886 in Dunedin – they had no children and when Isabella signed the suffrage petition they were living in Cargill Rd, South Dunedin.

Alexander died in 1923 at their home 'Blair Athol' in George St, Dunedin.

The following year Isabella married Arthur Edwin Mordwent Parker, a farmer, and they lived in Edendale in South Otago and in Lawrence.

Isabella died on 24 May 1927 in Dunedin, she is buried with Alexander in the Northern Cemetery, Dunedin.
