Isabella Mayne was born about 1855.
She married photographer Charles Martin in 1872 in New Zealand.
They had six children and when Isabella signed the suffrage petition they were living in Itchen St, Oamaru.
A few years later they moved to Wellington where Charles died in 1905.
Isabella died on 5 August 1930 at her daughter’s home in Christchurch.
They are buried together in the Barbadoes Street Cemetery.
