Isabella Jane Risk was born in New Zealand in 1867 – the daughter of Alexander Spiers Risk, a printer, and Margaret Marshall Gray.
She married William Henry Munro, also a printer, on 24 October 1888 at the Wesleyan Church, Mornington, Dunedin.
They had three daughters and, when Isabella signed the suffrage petition, they were living in Russell St, Dunedin. They later moved to Christchurch where William died suddenly in 1914.
Isabella died on 24 August 1922 at Lower Riccarton, Christchurch. She is buried with William in the Linwood Cemetery.
