Isabella Ann Roger was born in 1867 in New Zealand – the daughter of Robert Roger, a farmer, and Mary Ann Milligan.

When Isabella signed the suffrage petition she was living on the family farm at Sandymount on the Otago Peninsula.

She did not marry and remained living at Sandymount into the 1920s.

She died in Dunedin on 26 January 1950 and is buried in the family grave in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
