Jane Brown Bryce was born in 1868 in New Zealand – the eldest daughter of Thomas Bryce and Isabella Fleming.
She married David Francis Bremner, a watchmaker, on 19 July 1889 at her family home in Milton, South Otago.
They had seven children and when Jane signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Milton.
They later lived in Wyndam before moving to Dunedin where David died in 1933.
Jane died on 1 December 1963, she is buried with David in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
