Jane McNeil was born in 1866 in New Zealand, the daughter of John Broome and Jane.
She married Alexander John Fowler, a clerk, on December 26th 1888 in Dunedin.
They had 3 children, and when Jane signed the suffrage petition they were living in Belleknowes.
Jane died on November 29th 1894. She is buried in the Northern Cemetery.
About 1900 Alexander returned to his native London with the children. He died in 1941.
