Jane Birrell Oswald was born about 1823.
She came to New Zealand in the 1860s or 70s, and she lived in Palmerston with her son Henry, a bootmaker.
Jane signed the suffrage petition in Palmerston. She died on August 15th 1900 and is buried with her son in the Palmerston Cemetery.
