Jessie Parlane was born in 1868 in Milton – the daughter of William Parlane, a telegraphic linesman, and Jessie Robertson.
She grew up in Milton where she signed the suffrage petition and she worked as a dressmaker.
Jessie did not marry – she died at her home in Milton on 12 December 1942 and she is buried in the Fairfax Cemetery, Milton.
