Jane Black was born in Belfast about 1850, she married Thomas Dove, a salesman, in New Zealand in 1879.
They had three children and lived first in Mosgiel, then in South Dunedin.
Jane died on 26 October 1923 at her home in David St, Sth Dunedin, and Thomas died in 1936.
They are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
