Jane Strachan was born about 1830.
She married Neil McIntyre, a farmer, in the Owaka parish on 22 November 1884.
When Jane signed the suffrage petition they were living in Owaka, they had no children but did have an adopted son, Charles.
Neil died in 1906 and Jane died in 1910, they are both buried in the Owaka Cemetery.
