Jane/Jean Ann Kemp Lawrence was born about 1858.
She married Robert Polson, a labourer, on 14 October 1875 in Oamaru.
They had three children and when Jane signed the suffrage petition they were living in Georgetown in North Otago.
Robert died in 1916 and Jane died on 11 July 1948, they are buried together in the Georgetown Cemetery.
