Jane Ward was born about 1864.
he married Edwin Taylor in 1881 and they had eight children.
When Jane signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Hampden in North Otago.
Shortly after this they moved to Christchurch where Jane died on 24 August 1925.
Edwin died in 1947, they are buried together in the Sydenham Cemetery.
