Georgina Deans was born in New Zealand in 1871 – the daughter of George Deans, a stonemason, and Mary Pollock Abbey. (See 99 Mary Deans)

Georgina did not marry and when she signed the suffrage petition she was living with her parents in Great King St, Dunedin working as a machinist.

She died on 22 June 1936 at Talboys Home, Dunedin and is buried in the family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
