Jeanie Russell was born about 1852 in Scotland.
She married Archibald Munn, a clerk, in Cambusnethan, Lanarkshire in 1878 and shortly after they emigrated to New Zealand.
The family settled in Dunedin where they had four children.
When Jeanie signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Roslyn.
Archibald died in 1930, he is buried in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
Jeanie later moved to Masterton where she died on 14 June 1948, she is buried in the Archer Street Cemetery, Masterton.
