Jane/Jeannie Fox was born on 18 March 1871 in Glasgow, Scotland – the daughter of Hugh Fox and Jane Bulloch. (See 139 Mrs Fox)
Jeannie emigrated to Otago with her parents and three siblings in 1872 on the May Queen.
She lived with her parents in Peter St, Caversham where she signed the suffrage petition.
She married Reginald Edward Davis, a farmer, in 1909. They had two children and lived near Geraldine in South Canterbury.
Jane died on 20 June 1936 and Reginald in 1970. They are buried together in the Geraldine Cemetery.
