Jane/Jeannie Helen Dick was born in 1870 in New Zealand – the daughter of William Dick, a mason, and Helen Eason. (See 143 Hellen E Dick)
When Jeannie signed the suffrage petition the family were living at 'Luscar House', Sandymount on the Otago Peninsula and Jeannie was working as a music teacher.
She married Andrew Aitken, a builder, at her home on 15 July 1921 – they had no children.
Andrew died in 1931 and Jeannie died on 19 March 1951 in Dunedin, they are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
