Janet Agnes Christie (1873–1958), known as Jessie, was the daughter of Janet Law and Robert Christie, pioneer farmers in the Puerua Valley, South Otago, where Jessie lived much of her life.
In 1916 she married her cousin John Law McCulloch, who was farming in the remote locality of Kahuika in the Catlins District. After John’s death, Janet retired to Owaka, South Otago.
She is buried in the Owaka Cemetery.
