Jessie Davidson was born in 1833 in Wick, Caithness, Scotland.

She emigrated to New Zealand and married Alexander Davidson, a storekeeper, on 7 May 1867 in Dunedin.

They had one daughter (See 55 Annie J Davidson) and lived in Brown Street where Jessie & Annie signed the suffrage petition.

Alexander died in 1901 and Jessie died on 23 November 1902, they are buried together in the Northern Cemetery.
