Jessie Earles (nee Baldwin, also known as Janet or Jeanette, was born on 25 October 1854 in Turakina. She and Henry Francis Earles were married on 24 June 1875 in Whanganui. Between 1877 and 1910 they had fourteen children together.
1n 1893, the year Jessie signed the Petition, she gave birth to Robert Wheeler Earles. Robert was killed at Gallipoli on 9 May 1915.
Jessie lost her husband in 1922 and died on 17 June 1927, aged 72.
