Jessie Rattray Falconer was born in New Zealand in 1870 – the daughter of Charles Falconer, a farmer, and Janet Rattray.
When she signed the suffrage petition she was living with her father and siblings on the family farm 'Glenkilrie' near Milton in South Otago.
Jessie did not marry, she died at home in Milton on 4 March 1942 and is buried in the Fairfax Cemetery, Milton.
