Jessie Robb Allan was born on 15 January 1862 in Glasgow, Scotland – the daughter of John Allan, a woollen warehouseman, and Janet Morrison. (See 124 Janet Allan)
Jessie emigrated to Otago with her family on the Auckland in 1875 and they settled in Dunedin.
She married Harry Corbett Green, a clerk, on 25 June 1890.
They had seven children, one who was stillborn and when Jessie signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Maori Hill.
Jessie died at her home on 25 August 1934 and Harry died in 1948 – they are buried in the family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
