Jessie McKenzie was born about 1853.
She married Henry Maxwell, a labourer, on 24 May 1878 in the Tokomairiro parish and they had seven children.
When Jessie signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Milton.
She died in October 1903 and Henry died in 1921, they are buried in the Fairfax Cemetery, Milton.
