Catherine Barbara Bohrer was born about 1850 in Switzerland.
She married Frederick Robert Thomas Fox, a footman, on 5 September 1873 in Trinity, Jersey Islands and they had two daughters.
The family emigrated to Otago in 1875 on the Adamant – they had a further four children after their arrival.
When Catherine signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Andersons Bay Rd, Dunedin & Frederick was working as a groom.
Robert died at their daughter’s home in Oamaru in 1933 and Catherine also died in Oamaru on 14 December 1937.
They are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery, Dunedin.
