Catherine/Katie Jane Watt was born in 1873 in New Zealand – the daughter of Alexander Watt, a dairyman, and Catherine McLeod. (See 170 Catherine Watt)
When Catherine signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Watt’s Road, North East Valley.
She married Walter Bailey in 1923 and they lived in Auckland.
Walter died in 1944 and Catherine died on 9 November 1948 – they were both cremated and their ashes buried in the Waikumete Cemetery.
