Keren Happoch Hill was born in 1869 in New Zealand – the daughter of Quinton Hill, a farmer, and Jemima Badman.

When Keren signed the suffrage petition she was living in Victoria St, St Clair, Dunedin.

She married Jesse Stewart Griffiths, a plumber, in 1896 and they had three children.

They lived in Petone in Wellington. Keren died at Wellington Hospital on 16 March 1944 – she is buried in the Karori Cemetery.

Jesse died in 1962 – he is buried in the Aramoho Cemetery, Wanganui.
