Henrietta Louise Hayward/Louisa was born in London in 1869 – the daughter of John Hayward, a jeweller’s assistant, and Eliza Emma Parsons. (See 94 Eliza Hayward)
She emigrated to Otago with her family about 1877 and they settled in Dunedin.
When Louisa signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Kirkland Hill, Kaikorai.
She married Robert Armit, a bootmaker, in 1895 and they had three children.
Louisa died on 14 March 1950 and Robert died in 1952, they are buried in the family grave in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
