Latitia (Biddy) Sibbison Wallace was born on 4 July 1832 in Renfrewshire, her father, John, was 26, and her mother, Letitia, was 21. She had four brothers and two sisters. She arrived in Dunedin on 29th April 1848, on the Philip Laing along with her younger brother and sister. She worked In the house of John Sutton at the age of 17, In house of John Hyde Harris at the age of 19 and also in Captain Cargill's home. She didn't marry. She died on 15 March 1917 in Caversham, Otago, having lived a long life of 84 years. Her Brother John was married to Mary Murray Sinclair who along with daughters Helena and Lillian also signed the petitiion.
