Annie married printer Thomas Lawson in Palmerston, north of Dunedin, on 25 November 1878.

They had five sons and lived in Palmerston and Timaru before moving to Dunedin.

When Annie signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Forth Street.

Thomas died in 1906 – he was buried in the Northern Cemtery.

Annie died at her son’s home in Burnside on 8 August 1938 – she was cremated and her ashes were scattered.
