Louisa Helen Marshall was born in 1873 in New Zealand — the daughter of Lewis Hay Irving Marshall, a grocer, and Mary Brown.

She was living with her parents in High St, Roslyn when she signed the suffrage petition.

Louisa married Peter Marshall, an engineer, in 1923.

She died on 19 March 1929 at her home in North East Valley, Dunedin, at the age of 54.

Peter died in 1949, they are buried with Louisa’s parents in the Southern Cemetery.
