Margaret Harrison was born about 1860.
She married George Frederick Allen, a chemist, in 1885 in New Zealand.
They had three children and when Margaret signed the suffrage petition they were living in Belleknowes, Dunedin.
In 1901 they left New Zealand for Melbourne where George intended 'to enter into business on his own account'.
Margaret died at her home on 22 August 1901 and George died in 1934 – they are buried in the Fawkner Cemetery, Victoria.
