Mary Ann Dempster was born in 1865 in New Zealand – the daughter of David Cooper Dempster, a grocer, and Mary Diack. (See 101 Mrs Dempster)
Mary grew up in Dunedin and when she signed the suffrage petition she was living in Neidpath Rd, The Glen, Mornington.
She did not marry and she died in London on 7 December 1915 – her burial place is unknown.
