Mary Elizabeth Bell was born in 1865 in New Zealand – the daughter of George Timothy Bell and Louisa Lumley Green.
She married Ogier Densem, a clerk, in 1887 and they had seven children.
When Mary signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Gordon St, Maryhill, Mornington, Dunedin.
Ogier died in 1923 and Mary died on 7 December 1942 – they are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
