Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Mrs Mary Elizabeth Gill ran a millinery business in Princes Street, Dunedin from 1882 to 1902.

This is where she signed the suffrage petition.

In 1900 Mary was charged with “employment of boys of girls without payment”.

She retired from business in 1902 and sold her business. Where she went after this is unclear.
