Margaret Conny was born about 1846.
She married Francis Sutherland Fraser, a road contractor, in 1871 in New Zealand.
They had six children and lived, at first, in Invercargill.
In 1875 Francis was declared bankrupt and he was declared bankrupt again ten years later while they were living in Gore.
When Margaret signed the suffrage petiton she was working as a milliner.
Francis died in 1913 and Margaret died at her home in Gore on 13 March 1932 – she is buried with Francis in the Gore Cemetery.
