Martha Hall Fredric was born in 1873 in New Zealand. She was the daughter of Charles Lane Fredric and Elizabeth Graham Campbell.
Her mother died when Martha was about three years old and she appears to have lived with relatives in Dunedin after this.
When Martha signed the suffrage petition she was living with her Uncle and Aunt in George St, Dunedin.
Martha married, carter, Ludwig Dickel on 6 August 1895 in Dunedin and they had one son.
Ludwig died in 1932 and Martha died on 29 July 1949. They are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
