Mary Georgina Duke was born in 1854 in Chiddingfold, Surrey, England – the daughter of George Duke & Priscilla Prince. (See 161 Mrs P Duke)
Mary emigrated to Otago with her family in 1872 on the May Queen.
When Mary signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in St Andrew St, Dunedin.
She did not marry and she died on 11 September 1911. She is buried in the family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
