Mary Ann Herbertson Kerr was born in 1866 in the Tokomairiro district – the daughter of Abel Kerr, a farmer, and Mary Herbertson.
When Mary signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family at Table Hill, near Milton.
She did not marry and she died at Napier on 27 March 1926 – she is buried in the Park Island Cemetery, Napier.
