Mary Leggatt was born about 1825.
She married Joseph Henry Hearnshaw, a widower and mason, in 1869 in New Zealand.
They lived in Waikouaiti where Mary signed the suffrage petition.
Joseph died in April 1903 and Mary died later that year on December 9th. They are buried in the St John’s Cemetery, Waikouaiti.
