Marion Thomson was born about 1856 in Scotland, she married John Hill, a baker, on 31 August 1875 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Shortly after their marriage they emigrated to New Zealand, they had five children and lived in Reid Rd, South Dunedin.
Marion died at her home on 10 August 1895, aged 39.
John died at his daughter’s home in Palmerston North in 1931. They are buried together in the Southern Cemetery, Dunedin.
